Who are Lisvane WI?
We are a group of women of all ages, from Lisvane and the surrounding area, who meet regularly for friendship, for fun, for learning new skills, (and reviving old ones) and to find new interests.
Where do we meet?
click on link - MAP below for Google map.
We meet in Lisvane Memorial Hall, Heol-y-Delyn, Lisvane, CF14 0SQ on the second Tuesday of the month.
What do we do?
We begin our meeting with information for our members etc. this is then followed by a speaker or demonstrator on a wide variety of subjects. Then it?s time for tea and a chat! A great way of meeting, or just catching up with neighbours and friends. We have Link Meetings with neighbouring W.I.S where we meet other members in the area. Many events are organized through the County Federation ? from evenings with famous celebrities to organized holidays.
There are opportunities to go on visits to historic homes and gardens, to go on walks, or even short break holidays.
We get involved with public affairs ? every year we discuss and act on different resolutions.
Glamorgan Federation publish a monthly newsletter which keeps us up to date on all the county events.
Lisvane WI is part of the Glamorgan Federation who is part of the National Federation of Women's Institutes, the largest national organisation for women in the UK with 230,000 members in England, Wales and the Islands.PROGRAMME 2018
